The Rangemaster Treble Booster was created in the ’60s, being the first of his kind: it boosts the signal going to the amp and, at the same time, increases the tones at the high end of the frequency spectrum to compensate for long wire losses and give more brightness to the sound. The Rangemaster Treble Booster is responsible for the tone of Eric Clapton in the Bluesbreakers and Cream, as well as the sound of Brian May in Queen. Even if it only has one knob, the Rangemaster Treble Booster is touch sensitive so with just the boost and your guitar volume knobs you can get a huge sound variety. The circuit works around a selected germanium transistor, giving the Rangemaster a creamy and warm sound.
